TIME "SINGLE"

A woman with blonde hair, wearing a blue dress with white sleeves, is seated in a futuristic chair with turquoise upholstery. Behind her, there are large, gold gears and cogs, a clock with Roman numerals, and bright neon signs reading "SAM DE ROSE" and "Travel". The background depicts space with swirling galaxies.

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, “Time” combines classic songwriting with contemporary production in a song about separation, memory, and the altered sense of time that follows distance.

The lyric focuses on the period after a relationship ends, when ordinary days begin to blur and familiar moments return without warning. Drawing from British Invasion-era melody while maintaining a modern sound, the recording uses layered vocal harmonies, shifting textures, and detailed instrumentation to support the song’s reflective tone without turning its influences into period recreation.

A melodic fretless bass solo sits at the center of the arrangement, moving through the track as an extension of the vocal narrative rather than a separate display of technique. Its phrasing gives the bass a leading voice while remaining connected to the song’s structure and pacing.

The accompanying artwork places “Time” inside a visual world shaped by clocks, machinery, travel, and surreal imagery. These elements reflect the tension between the past and the present, and the way memory can continue to alter a person’s perspective.

“Time” is a modern psychedelic-pop recording that examines distance, memory, and the moments that remain active long after the events themselves have passed.
