Opening with “Post Secret,” the EP draws from the anonymous confessions collected in the PostSecret books. Vintage keyboards, arena-rock structure, and contemporary production frame a lyric about private words intended for one specific person. An overdriven bass solo leads into a fretless closing passage, giving the electric bass a central role in the arrangement.

“Happy” shifts toward acoustic textures, vocal harmonies, and songwriting influenced by 1960s pop. Rather than recreating the period, the recording places those references within a modern mix and uses them to support the song’s lighter character and direct melodic structure.

“Dreaming Trees” develops through atmospheric textures, layered vocals, and melodic bass lines. Its imagery and arrangement create a more surreal setting, allowing the song to move at a different pace while remaining connected to the EP through melody, vocal detail, and production.
